The most important factor you must abide by is moderation . Upon consultation with your G.P. you can be advised in exact detail how you as an individual should go about your healthy diet.
Eat 3 square meals a day
Many starchy (carbohydrate rich) foods in fact produce glucose slowly as they are been digested, therefore there are no sudden rushes of glucose in your blood. This also means you have time to burn off any glucose produced by exercise.
Cut down on foods rich in sugar

For a diabetic however where immediate sugar rushes can cause serious effects, this can be one of the most important aspects of a healthy diet to stick to.
